Small Matters Paralegal is a paralegal firm licensed by the Law Society of Upper Canada that specializes in Small Claims Court and Landlord and Tenant matters.
Lisa Nadon began her law career in 1994 working for local law firms as a law clerk. Throughout the next 5 years Lisa garnered valuable experience and knowledge of the judicial system. While acquiring this beneficial experience, Lisa continued her education by completing courses for Landlords and Tenants, Small Claims Court Advocacy and a 2 year law clerk program. Lisa began forming relationships with clients and helping them with their Small Claims Court issues and Landlord and Tenant matters. In the fall of 1999, Lisa founded Small Matters and began to grow her customer base while continuing to support her existing clientele. Lisa’s extensive hands on experience and practical knowledge provide an abundance of guidance for all her small business owners and landlord clients.
Hugh Ferguson was the former owner of the collection agency Collectrite located in Cambridge, Ontario. As a business owner, he provides first hand experience with the rigors of operating a successful business. With over 28 years experience in Small Claims Court, he is a strong ally and can offer a great deal of advice for any small business. Hugh manages the majority of the trials for Small Matters. He enjoys the challenges that a difficult case brings and this is apparent with his successes.
